The year is coming to an end, it's time to take stock! And when we take a look in the rearview mirror, we can't help but notice that 2022 was another great year for sneakers, with more and more variations and collaborations. Here are the silhouettes that we think stood out.
Air Jordan 1 High OG "Lost and Found

Expected for 7 years, the reissue of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Chicago finally reached us this fall. And this, in a vintage aesthetic - cracked collar, aged midsole, worn box ... - which made the drop all the more enjoyable.
Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low

This Air Force 1 collection is doubly historic. In addition to being the last collab driven by Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton, it comes full circle in that it pays tribute to the bootlegs of the apostle of streetwear Dapper Dan in the 1980s. Like a symbol of the evolution of street culture, which brilliantly closes the course of the genius Abloh.
Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1

Blacklisted a year ago after the drama that occurred during his Astroworld festivalTravis Scott was quickly rehabilitated by his collaborators. Nike has finally decided to release its Air Max 1, and the fans were well at the rendezvous, plebisciting a singular design inspired by the outdoor.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Reverse Mocha"

Travis always, and success all the more resounding with the "Reverse Mocha", whose raffle recorded 2.4 million entries in the space of 30 minutes, an absolute record. Needless to say, the value of this elegant pair remains particularly high today.
Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe

The appeal of functionality, and, increasingly rare today, storytelling. Because the new sneaker made by the artist Tom Sachs with the Swoosh has very clearlyassumed its boring design to emphasize its utilitarian character. Refreshing.
Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "The Wave"

The Air Max 1 was celebrating its 35th birthday this year, so the Swoosh didn't skimp on the variations. Many of its collaborators were also solicited and in addition to Travis, Patta was also at the rendezvous, an intervention full of sense when the Dutch brand had already revisited the model several times. Its collection "The Wave", started at the end of last year, continued to delight us with the notable arrival of Black and White versions.
Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Lobster

If the Air Max 1 was celebrating its birthday, the Dunk has indeed remained the flagship silhouette of the Swoosh in 2022. Dozens and dozens of iterations were born, but if we had to remember only one, it would be the one of the Bostonian shop Concepts, for the continuation of its legendary Lobster pack inspired by lobster. A must have for collectors.
A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4

Military Black, Midnight Navy, Black Canvas, Infrared, Red Thunder... The year 2022 has been filled with beautiful Air Jordan 4's. In the rush, the collab from retailer A Ma Maniére will have shone with elegance with its premium design and its Violet Ore hue.
Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara LX

Among the sensations of the year, the first footwear collab of Jacquemus! The French designer teamed up with Nike to revisit the outdoor silhouette that is the Air Humara, giving it a remarkable high fashion aesthetic.
COMME des GARÇONS x Air Max Sunder SP

In addition to the Jacquemus novelty, Nike has continued the high fashion alliances with its regular collaborators, from Off-White to sacai through COMME des GARÇONS. The latter, adept at reviving archival models, delighted us with a pack of Air Max Sunder, a tapered silhouette with a central zip that had never been reissued since its release in 1999. It came back to us in a purified form and basic colorways typical of CdG, waiting perhaps for a comeback in the Swoosh catalog!
NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra

2022 will also have been marked by the launch of the Drake x Nike collaborative line, NOCTA. Fruit of this agreement, the sneaker Hot Step Air Terra, somewhere between b-ball and runner and devilishly nineties, has seduced a wide audience.
New Balance 990v6

Is the New Balance recipe running out of steam? Praised in recent years for its original creations supported by first-class collabs, the Boston-based equipment manufacturer continues its momentum but begins to fall into déjà vu, as effective as its 550 with Aimé Leon Dore, 990v3 JJJJound, 9060 Joe Freshgoods or 2002R Protection Pack. We will prefer to remember the novelty of this year, embodied by the last born of the 900 range, the v6, whose racy shape is carried by a more generous sole than usual. Hoping for more news for the future, then.
Supreme x Nike Shox Ride 2

Once criticized for a certain lack of creativity, Supreme is back in the hearts of sneakerheads. Under the leadership of its new creative director Tremaine Emory, several footwear collabs hit the fan this year, from Shox Ride 2 especially for the author of these lines.
