Aimé Leon Dore, chic and authentic streetwear

Aimé Leon Dore, le streetwear chic et authentique

On the occasion of the new drop of its collaboration with New Balance, close-up on Aimé Leon Dore, ALD for friends! If the name sounds French, the brand is rooted in New York, where it recreates the golden age of the nineties through a strong aesthetic and a chic and qualitative streetwear.

Teddy Santis, the novice who was right

The evolution of Aimé Leon Dore was spectacular, insofar as the brand was only born in 2014. Its creator, Teddy Santis, had no experience in fashion. But he had a lot more going for him, from his keen eye for the streets of New York to his many street references.

Nostalgic for the Big Apple's golden age, the nineties, Santis infused its components into his brand universe and style. At a time when streetwear shines with prints and logos, he will take the path of authenticity to create timeless and meaningful pieces.

Aimé Leon Dore, a different kind of streetwear

Aimé Leon Dore's style is the perfect combination of streetwear and elegance. His wardrobe includes street basics enhanced with premium materials as well as pieces from the formal wardrobe revisited in comfortable cuts. A harmonious dissonance!

After the first relatively sober collections, Aimé Leon Dore now multiplies cuts and materials, fully embracing the nineties aesthetics by pouring more into bold prints and references outside street culture. This progressive affirmation has enabled him to attract collaborators.

The fruitful ALD x New Balance encounter

Aimé Leon Dore first joined forces with his compatriot KITH, before crossing paths with Puma for a first footwear outfit. The experience will be repeated with Clarks and Suicoke, until New Balance. It is truly this collaboration, which began in 2019 and continues to the present, that will make ALD known to the greatest number.

True to its image as a heritage and premium brand, Aimé Leon Dore reworks retro silhouettes in quality materials and harmonious variations. His New Balances - the 550 in the first instance - have all been successful, allowing Teddy Santis to become the creative director of NB's Made in USA division.
